Dear Friend,
Thank you for the friendship, kindness, and appreciation you showered on me. I tried to return it the best I knew how, but guess towards the end I failed you by leaving without you in September of the year 2001. I hope you understand that it was appointed to me to do just that, my allotted time, not of my own volition. Be advised though, that I haven't really left, but await you here. You can't see me, but I'm in a much better state...you might call it "glorified".
Wait 'til you see this place, and you will.... I, and every creature that ever was, are here, and we're having a ball. We're all buddies, no more dog eat dog stuph here....Hey! Remember that lamb laying down with a lion story? You better believe it! No sickness, no pain, no sorrow (except missing you), no death, and no time. Us creatures have always known of this place, even before we were to come here, having always kept in contact with our Maker.
Maybe for you it's no mystery either, but just in case you sort of lost touch with the Creator, and are at this moment sad, lighten up, and listen up. Though all may search for another place like this, they won't find it. If you haven't noticed, it's only this place that's mentioned besides Heaven. It's the Creator's favorite place, and someday, He, and all His creation will live here together - forever. Sorry, but it's only us non-humans who get to enjoy it right off...so, in case you didn't already know, please pay close attention to what I'm about to tell you.
We will meet again, and be together again, but first you have to go to that other place called Heaven. Whether it be for instruction and reproof, or just as an interim staging area, depending on how you lived your life. For us creatures not of your kind, we only lived by instincts - we were "programmed" by the Creator. On the other hand, you weren't. You had free will, which probably got you in trouble. So, at this point, the sadness you're feeling for me might better be re-directed towards yourself. Sorry for that, but it's not all that bad.... Hey! You cherished me, protected me, cared for me - loved me as you did your fellow man! The Creator gave me to you, and I know He has taken note of all that. My report's on His desk.
I guess you've heard of "Jacobs Ladder", where, in a dream, Jacob envisioned a
ladder to Heaven; people coming down, and some going up. We won't get into those coming down because, though you don't remember, you have already done that once. One day, however, you will be leaving this place, and going up that ladder again ( yes, you went up it once before too)... Or, as someone cutely called it, "The Rainbow Bridge"; it's essentially the same. Well, dear friend, it is when you come down, or over "The Rainbow Bridge" that interests me, and of course you too; I know this.
All of us non-human creatures await your return. It's then we will resume our loving relationship into eternity along with our Creator. Remember, it won't be long for me now. There's no such thing as time here. So...please be happy for me, and I'll be seeing you.
