Monday Morning Mariners' Meeting
MMMM

April 10, 2000

After glancing at the above picture, does anyone really have any questions as to why the inboard seats at the MMMM Luncheons are prized so highly? Action at the pool and environs is the subject of a few enthused exclamations on those Mondays when the weather encourages a dip or an exercise in tanning.

Now, what about this handsome couple? One never knows what exciting and entertaining activities may develop at our Monday luncheons. Perhaps it is the soothing view of the pool and its contents along with interesting conversation that encourages the extremely friendly atmosphere amongst the group. On the other hand it COULD be the heave-arounds consumed there! The loving couple depicted here is our one and only Captain Carl and the vivacious Laura, who happens to be the restaurant Manager! No, it's not what you're thinking; Carl went home with Bill Qu.

Since Gary stated he was getting all of 9 mpg on his Caddy SUV, it was decided that the MMMM pool of self-appointed experts would investigate the engine compartment to determine if there was some unusual situation there that caused Gary's expensive gasoline to disappear faster than snow on a hot griddle. Not surprisingly, the group, consisting of (L to R) Bill, me, Earl, and Gary, didn't accomplish a thing. Oh well, it isn't a bad pix, is it? Our most respected photographer, Carl, is credited with yet another masterpiece.

Using Gary's "Black Marhia" Caddy SUV as a lean-to are the same group of experts that failed to solve the gasoline consumption problem: (L to R) Bill, Earl, Gary, and me.. All agreed that the vehicle IS rugged and stood up like a champ when the pressure was applied! Gary was elated; however, he is concerned about the inability of the vehicle to pass service stations.
