As a result of the infamous MMMM having evidently expired without fanfare, a quartet of diehards met at Ruby Friday's at Merritt Island, Florida. The affair transpired on March 13, 2002 in an effort to revive the luncheons. Left to right, we have Elliott Rand, Dick McKlveen, Carl Friberg, and Ed Lanni.

The above picture will provide some uninitiated viewers with an idea why all attendees at the first FAYH BAHRNA luncheon had such a rousing good time. Colleen, our vivacious waitress, is helping Carl and Ed get in the mood for the occasion. Yes, and she is just the one to liven up a party every time! We note a halo tantalizingly close to Carl's noggin. Next we suspect wings will be sprouting.

Since Elliott's picture, as included in the group above, is not the best shot ever taken of this handsome countenance, we think it only fair that we try again with the above image. Elliott drove the greatest distance to attend this affair (about 50 miles round trip) and he deserves to be adequately recognized! He departed to his new home in Coos Bay Oregon a few days subsequent to this get together. We all hope he is happy and content at his new location. Yes Elliott, and we trust that you will be coming back to Florida to visit with us often!

We now see our good friend Ed Lanni all by himself. Having seen him with our waitress above; we are sure our visitors are aware that Ed suffers little from loneliness. He and his comely wife, Shirley, were King and Queen of the 2002 Mardi Gras held at his home city: Cocoa, Florida. This is not the first year this outstanding couple have been so honored. We are gratified that Captain Ed sees fit to join with us on occasion!
